Magic Mushrooms
The name magic mushroom (or shroom) indicates a group of mushrooms containing psilocybin or psilocin. This group is known for its hallucinogenic and psychedelic effects. As with other hallucinogenic drugs, for example the synthetic substance LSD, these mushrooms can be used as a stimulant, because of the visual effects and changes in perception of the environment. For experienced users, magic mushrooms can also be used as a means of acquiring psychological, philosophical and spiritual perspectives.
