Smartiez: six capsules with an 825 mg herbal blend
At Avalon Magic Plants, Smartiez sits on the energizer shelf, the party range you also know there from the Happy Caps series and the DNX tins Lemon X, MollyX and SpeedX. The packaging here is different: a slim blue plastic tube with a click-on lid, the brand name printed in pink down its full height and a cartoon figure on the front. Six capsules go in the tube, so six servings at the dose given on the label.
Each capsule holds 825 milligrams of herbal blend, made up of green tea extract, yerba mate, guarana, pepper extract, kolanut and Siberian ginseng. Three of those naturally contain caffeine: green tea comes from Camellia sinensis, guarana is the seed paste of the Amazonian climber Paullinia cupana, and the kolanut grows on the West African Cola tree. Yerba mate is Ilex paraguariensis, a South American holly whose leaves are traditionally brewed as a tea there. Siberian ginseng rounds off the list, and despite the name Eleutherococcus senticosus is not a true ginseng, since those belong to the genus Panax. The pepper extract comes from Piper nigrum. Avalon makes no claims about what this blend does.
