Smoking paper King Size "The Bulldog"

The Bulldog king size papers: hemp and Arabic gum

Rolling paper needs little explanation, yet there is a real difference between one paper and the next. These Bulldog papers use hemp fibre rather than bleached wood pulp. Hemp feels slightly coarser between your fingers and burns at a calm pace, which you notice most when you roll without tobacco. The gum line is natural Arabic gum, a gum from acacia resin that only becomes sticky once you moisten it.

King size is the long format. There is enough paper along the edge to roll in a filter tip, so nothing has to be folded over or trimmed off. If you prefer a smaller cigarette, the short version from the same range makes more sense. The blue booklet is slim enough to travel in a coat or trouser pocket without creasing straight away.

About The Bulldog

The Bulldog opened in 1975 at Oudezijds Voorburgwal 90 in Amsterdam, in a building Henk de Vries had taken over from his father. The name came from his own bulldog. That single shop grew into a chain with bars and hotels, and the dog's head now appears on papers, filter tips and other smoking gear as well. For visitors to the city, a booklet like this doubles as a souvenir.

Storage

Keep papers dry. Moisture attacks the gum line and the paper will no longer seal properly. A booklet stored upright in a tin or pouch stays flat far longer than one loose in your pocket. At Avalon Magic Plants you will also find the short Bulldog papers, the slim filter tips from the same brand and papers by Mascotte, RAW and Greengo. Every order is packed and shipped discreetly.
