Virola theidora / cumala rojo (red cumala or red virola) bark. Virola, also known as Epená. Probably the most important species is Virola theiodora, a slender tree 7.5-23 m (25-75 ft ) in height, native to the forests of the western Amazon basin. The dark-red resin of the tree bark contains several hallucinogenic and alkaloids. Virola is considered by native Columbians to be the " Semen of the Sun ", a direct product of their sun god. Shamans use this hallucinogen as an avenue of communication with their gods. This powder is also used to make the snuff called epena or epená. The Herb here is strictly offered as botanical specimen. Not for consumption. Consult the disclaimer before your order.
