What is the Marshmallow Shrooms Grow Kit?

The Marshmallow Shrooms Grow Kit is a hybrid mushroom grow kit filled with 1200cc of fully colonised Psilocybe Qubit mycelium. This is a hybrid cubensis strain developed by McSmart through years of selective breeding, known for its large, compact fruiting bodies and high yields per flush. The kit is a complete all-in-one system ready to use immediately.

Active compounds

Psilocybe Qubit contains the psychoactive compounds psilocybin and psilocin. After ingestion, psilocybin is converted to psilocin, which acts on the 5-HT2A serotonin receptors in the brain. This produces altered sensory perception, visual effects and an introspective state. The exact concentration varies per flush and growing conditions.

Instructions for use

Wash your hands and wipe down the outside of the kit with a dry cloth. Remove the lid and fill the kit with lukewarm water at 20°C. Soak for up to five minutes, pour off the water and let it drain for ten seconds. Place the kit in the included grow bag and add 200 to 250 ml of lukewarm water to the bag. Fold the top closed and secure with the paperclips. Keep the bag closed until the first pinheads appear. Then air briefly daily and mist the inside of the bag lightly. Harvest the mushrooms just before the veil beneath the cap breaks, by gently twisting and pulling the mushroom fully out of the substrate.

Dosage

Psilocybe Qubit is more potent than most standard cubensis strains. A common starting point for regular cubensis is 10 to 15 grams of fresh mushrooms for a mild experience, but due to the Qubit's higher potency, the actual intensity at the same amount may be greater. Start low if you are unfamiliar with this strain. Experienced users generally move towards 15 to 25 grams for a moderate trip and 25 to 35 grams for a stronger experience. Dry weight is roughly five to seven times lighter than fresh weight.

Effects

Users report intense visual effects, heightened perception of colour and form, time distortion and a deeply introspective character. Effects come on after 30 to 45 minutes and peak after 1 to 2 hours. A trip typically lasts four to six hours. Set and setting, your mental state and environment, are key to how the experience unfolds. Do not use alone and ensure a familiar, safe environment.

Legality

Growing mushrooms using a grow kit is legal in the Netherlands. The mushrooms themselves contain psilocybin, a substance listed under the Dutch Opium Act. Once fruiting bodies are harvested, the provisions of the Opium Act apply. Regulations differ between countries. Always check the legislation in your country before placing an order. FAQ

How long does it take for the Marshmallow Shrooms to be ready for harvest? The first pinheads typically appear after ten to twenty days. From that point, allow another five to ten days until the mushrooms are ready. Total growing time from setup to first harvest is two to four weeks.

How many flushes does the kit produce? An average of three flushes per kit. After each flush, repeat the soaking process.

Can I store the kit if I am not ready to grow? Yes, unopened the kit keeps for up to six months in the refrigerator at 2 to 4°C. Starting within three months gives the best result.
