The cap is the lid. The stem is the grinder. This Mushroom Grinder by McSmoke looks like a pink mushroom with white spots, but it works like a regular 4-part aluminium grinder.
At 63 mm across, this is one of the larger sizes. Useful when you grind for several joints at once or want to fill your vaporizer in one go. It's a bit bulky for your pocket, but at home or on the table that's actually an advantage.

How the 4-part design works
The mushroom cap and the grinding chamber below it both have sharp teeth. Twist them in opposite directions and your ground herbs drop through the holes into the middle layer. That's where a fine metal screen sits. Only the smallest particles, the pollen, pass through and collect in the bottom tray.

Tap the grinder out after use and brush the teeth with a dry brush. Resin on the teeth or a clogged screen? Soak the separate parts in isopropyl alcohol for half an hour, rinse with warm water and let everything dry properly. Don't use a scouring pad, it damages the coloured finish. Isn't 63 mm too big?
For on the go it's on the large side. If you mostly grind at home, the bigger size is a plus: more room in the grinding chamber and less refilling.
What do I do with the pollen in the bottom tray?
Carefully scrape it loose with a card or small spatula. Keep it separate or sprinkle it over your next portion.
Can I use this grinder for my vaporizer?
Yes. A vaporizer works best with an even, not too fine grind, and that's what this grinder delivers.
