Maeng Da sample pack: four kratom types side by side
Kratom is ground leaf of Mitragyna speciosa, a Southeast Asian tree in the coffee family. Anyone comparing types for the first time tends to get stuck on the names: green, red and white refer to the colour of the leaf vein and to how the leaf was dried after harvest, while Maeng Da is a Thai trade term for a better grading. Reading about it only gets you so far, though. You notice the differences in colour and aroma once the powders sit next to each other, which is exactly what this sample pack is for.
You receive four separate 25 gram portions, 100 grams in all. Their colour ranges from pale green to brownish red, and the herbal smell differs per grading as well. Since this is a natural product, shade and aroma shift slightly between harvests. The four bags are packed separately, so you can store them individually and judge them one at a time.

Storage and points to note
Keep the bags dry, dark and properly sealed, because ground leaf attracts moisture and clumps up. It helps to write the grading on each bag once you open them, so you can still tell them apart. Keep the pack out of reach of children, avoid kratom during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and talk to your doctor if you take medication. Sales are to adults of eighteen and over, and use remains your own responsibility.
