Green kratom liquid extract 3:1: green vein kratom in concentrated form
Kratom is the collective name for the leaf of Mitragyna speciosa, a Southeast Asian tree that belongs to the coffee family. The leaf is harvested, dried and ground to powder. The colour label green, red or white refers to the vein of the leaf and to the way it was dried after harvest, with green sitting between red and white in the trade. This extract is made from green vein leaf.
The 3:1 marking describes the concentration. Every bottle holds the alkaloids of about three times its own weight in dried plant material, so 1 ml corresponds to roughly 3 to 4 grams of dried kratom leaf. That saves a considerable amount of volume compared with powder, and a pipette measures far more precisely than a spoon. Keep in mind that an extract is a good deal stronger than loose leaf, though. A few drops is the usual place to start.
The bottle and how to store it
The extract comes from Munay Naturals and belongs to their Focus range, recognisable by the pale green label reading kratomgreen essence. The bottle is amber glass and holds 10 ml. Dark glass keeps light out, which does the contents a favour. The screw cap has a pipette built in. Shake the bottle briefly before use and keep it cool, dry and dark, with the cap firmly closed and out of reach of children. If you take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not start with a kratom extract before speaking to your doctor.
