Kanna Krystal Ultimate extract: concentrated kanna in crystal form
There is a considerable step between loose kanna leaf and this tube. Leaf is plant material with everything still in it; an extract is what remains once the alkaloids have been drawn out of that material and the rest is gone. Krystal Ultimate is a fine, crystalline powder, and the name points straight at that appearance. Pay attention to how sellers state strength, because no standard exists. One shop prints a ratio such as 50x, another quotes a percentage of mesembrine. Those figures are not directly comparable and mean little without an analysis to back them. More useful in practice: never treat an extract like leaf. Where kougoed is handled in grams, a crystal extract is handled in a fraction of that. A precise scale is therefore not a luxury. The raw material is the same plant the San and the Khoikhoi chewed in South Africa, these days usually cultivated rather than gathered from the wild.
Storage and responsible handling
Close the tube properly and store it dry, dark and out of reach of children, since moisture makes fine powder clump. Start small, wait, and do not stack anything on top of it. Do not combine kanna with antidepressants such as SSRIs or MAOIs without medical advice, avoid it during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and keep it away from driving.
