Greenline Bong 14 cm: small glassware, no frills
Greenline makes compact glass bongs that turn up in headshops across Europe, in various sizes and with changing prints. At 14 cm this model is one of the smallest of the series and carries a stated diameter of 32 mm. The glass is completely clear apart from a small coloured label on the side of the chamber. At the bottom sits a round, flared foot, which keeps the whole thing steady on a table instead of tipping at the first nudge.
The build is straightforward: a cone shaped water chamber, an angled side tube and a ground joint on top that takes the removable bowl. Because the bowl comes out, you can lift it away and clean it separately. There is no percolator or other internal hardware, and at this size that works in its favour. Fewer parts means fewer corners where residue collects.
Filling and keeping it clean
Fill the chamber with water to just above the bottom of the tube, no higher. Too much water eats into your space and splashes up easily. Change the water after use, since old water is the main reason glassware starts to smell. For cleaning, warm water with a little dish soap does the job, helped along by a brush or a handful of coarse salt shaken through the chamber. Never take the glass straight from hot to ice cold and keep it out of the dishwasher, because sudden temperature swings are hard on glass.
