White kratom liquid extract 3:1: white kratom in concentrated form
Kratom is the collective name for the leaf of Mitragyna speciosa, a tree from Southeast Asia that belongs to the coffee family. The leaves are harvested, dried and usually ground into powder. The white, green or red labels point to the colour of the leaf vein and to what happens after harvest. In the trade, white stands for younger leaf dried indoors with little light, while red leaf dries outdoors in the sun. Keep in mind that a colour label does not guarantee an exact composition: origin, genetics and drying method all play a part.
The 3:1 ratio describes the concentration. Each bottle carries the alkaloids of about three times its own weight in dried plant material, so 1 ml corresponds to some 3 to 4 grams of dried kratom leaf. That saves a good deal of volume compared with loose powder, and the pipette measures more precisely than a spoon ever will. The extract is made by Munay Naturals as part of their Bliss range, recognisable by the white label reading kratomwhite essence. The bottle is amber glass, holds 10 ml and has a screw cap with a built-in pipette; dark glass keeps light out, which does the contents good.
Dosing: start with a few drops
This extract is considerably stronger than loose leaf, so a few drops is the usual starting point. Shake the bottle briefly before use and count the drops into a glass of water or a cup of tea. Do not build up within the same session, and do not mix it with other substances or with alcohol.
Storage and points to note
Keep the bottle cool, dry and dark with the cap firmly closed and out of reach of children. This product is intended for adults. If you take medication, are pregnant or are breastfeeding, do not start with a kratom extract without speaking to your doctor first. The extract is sold as a botanical product, not as a medicine.
Avalon Magic Plants stocks this extract in green and red as well: Green kratom liquid extract 3:1 and Red kratom liquid extract 3:1. If you prefer working with loose leaf, have a look at the kratom powders such as Thai White and Maeng Da Super Green. Every order is sent out in discreet packaging.
