APE Albino Penis Envy Ready to Grow Bag XXL: the pale Penis Envy for patient growers
The letters APE are short for Albino Penis Envy, a pale form from the Penis Envy family. The mushrooms have the typical thick stems and small, compact caps of this line, but with little pigment. They are white, cream or light grey. Many specimens are technically leucistic instead of true albinos, which explains the colour differences.
APE is very strong, as you would expect from Penis Envy genetics. Psilocybin and psilocin are packed into a compact, firm mushroom that releases very few spores. Growth is slower and more selective: pins appear later and you harvest fewer, but denser mushrooms.
Why a Ready to Grow bag?
A classic grow kit needs an activation step before it fruits. A Ready to Grow bag skips it: the substrate is already fully colonised and moves straight into fruiting once conditions are right. How to set up the bag
The sooner you set the bag up after delivery, the better the result. Choose a spot with indirect light and a stable room temperature, and keep the substrate in the original bag. Keep the elastic band around the bag on for the whole grow, it stops pins forming on the sides. The clipped corner at the top lets air circulate, so close it again with the supplied sticker after each airing. If APE seems slow, that is usually nothing to worry about. Leave the setup alone as long as the mycelium looks healthy, and use the manual to judge harvest time, as the caps often stay closed.
If you cannot set it up right away, store it briefly somewhere cool and dark at 6-8°C, and never freeze it.

Safe use
Magic mushrooms contain psilocybin and psilocin, psychoactive substances. This product is meant for adults aged 18 and over. This is a very strong strain, so keep your dose clearly lower than with a regular cubensis. Start with a low dose, especially if you have little experience, and use them in a familiar setting with a sober trip sitter. Do not combine with alcohol, antidepressants (SSRIs or MAOIs) or other substances, and do not use if you have a personal or family history of psychosis or schizophrenia. Keep a Mushroom Stopper within reach to soften an experience that gets too intense.
