Enigma Ready to Grow Bag XXL: a rare mutation without a cap
The Enigma is no ordinary mushroom. This cubensis mutation forms no caps or stems, but grows into dense, folded masses that resemble coral or brain tissue. With no gills, the Enigma produces no spores either. The strain can therefore only be propagated by cloning, which is what makes it rare.
The Enigma is considered very strong. Its compact biomass holds a lot of psilocybin and psilocin per gram, so a small amount goes a long way. Growth is slow and the right harvest moment looks different from regular magic mushrooms. That makes this strain mainly interesting for growers who already have some experience.
More substrate, less preparation
This XXL bag holds 2100 grams of nutrient-rich substrate that the mycelium has already run through. Nothing needs to be inoculated, sterilised or soaked, as the most sensitive stage is already done. You provide a good spot and some fresh air, the bag does the rest.
Getting started with your bag
This bag performs best when you set it up as soon as it arrives. Find a bright spot without harsh sun and without big temperature swings. Leave the substrate in the bag and keep the elastic band on, as it prevents mushrooms forming on the sides. The open corner at the top supplies fresh air, tape it shut again with the included sticker after each airing. With the Enigma there is no tearing veil to signal harvest time, so follow the manual to judge the right moment and give the masses time to firm up.
If you want to wait a little before starting, keep the bag cool and dark at 6-8°C. Freezing damages the mycelium.

Note: this strain is very strong, so take a clearly smaller dose than with an ordinary cubensis. Build up carefully from a low dose, especially if you are still inexperienced, and choose a calm, familiar setting with someone present who stays sober. Do not use magic mushrooms with alcohol, antidepressants (SSRIs or MAOIs) or other substances, and avoid them if psychosis or schizophrenia occurs in you or your family.
