Blue Ghost Ready to Grow Bag XXL: an albino hybrid with striking blue bruising
The Blue Ghost is an albino-dominant cross between Long Ghost and Blue Shakti. The result is milk-white to pale golden caps on thick, sturdy stems. Touch the flesh and it turns a vivid blue. That colour change comes from the oxidation of psilocin and stands out even more against the pale surface.
Its potency sits between medium and high, which makes it a step up from classics like Golden Teacher or B+. Psilocybin and psilocin are the active compounds here. To grow, the Blue Ghost is surprisingly easy: it colonises strongly and forms medium to large mushrooms in dense clusters.
More substrate, less preparation
This XXL bag holds 2100 grams of nutrient-rich substrate that the mycelium has already run through. Nothing needs to be inoculated, sterilised or soaked, as the most sensitive stage is already done. You provide a good spot and some fresh air, the bag does the rest.
How to set up the bag
The sooner you set the bag up after delivery, the better the result. Choose a spot with indirect light and a stable room temperature, and keep the substrate in the original bag. Keep the elastic band around the bag on for the whole grow, it stops pins forming on the sides. The clipped corner at the top lets air circulate, so close it again with the supplied sticker after each airing. Bruises show quickly on the pale flesh, so hold the mushrooms low on the stem when you harvest them.
If you cannot set it up right away, store it briefly somewhere cool and dark at 6-8°C, and never freeze it.
