The Hillbilly Pumpkin belongs to the Hillbilly line, which growers trace back to the southern United States. The name Pumpkin refers to its shape: broad, rounded caps that turn a warm orange-brown as they mature. It sets compact clusters with thick stems, which gives each flush a full look.
The effect is medium in strength. Psilocybin and psilocin give an experience often described as light, social and mood-lifting, with a gentle build-up. As a grower it is energetic and reliable, though it asks for a bit more stability than the true beginner strains.
Ready to fruit
Inoculation and incubation have already been carried out under controlled conditions. That means you can let this bag fruit straight away, without a spore syringe, liquid culture or activation step. The large 2100 gram format gives the mycelium plenty of reserve for multiple flushes.
Setting up and caring for the bag
Ideally, unpack the bag straight away and place it out of direct sunlight at an even room temperature. The substrate simply stays in the bag it came in. The elastic band can stay on until the last harvest, which keeps pins from growing along the sides. A corner at the top is open for fresh air: after airing, close it again with the sticker provided. Avoid sudden temperature changes and the Hillbilly Pumpkin will keep its compact, even clusters.
Can't start right away? Put the bag somewhere cool and dark at 6-8°C for the time being, but never in the freezer.
