MTT-200 Mini Table Top: 200 grams read to a hundredth
A table top scale usually claims a spot on the bench and stays there. On Balance took that design and shrank it into the Mini Table Top. It is solid enough for daily use on a table, yet small enough to carry along and put away in a drawer. The range runs from 0 to 200 grams in increments of 0.01 gram, exactly the territory where a kitchen scale reading whole grams turns out too coarse.
Besides grams, the MTT-200 weighs in ounces, grains and carats, which suits anyone handling jewellery, gemstones or herbs. The tare button subtracts the weight of a dish or bag from the total, leaving just the contents on the display. After sixty seconds without activity the scale switches itself off, saving the two AAA batteries that come with it. The stated operating temperature sits between 10 and 30 degrees Celsius, so keep it out of a cold shed or direct sunlight if you want readings you can trust.

Keeping it accurate
Put the scale on a flat, solid surface rather than your knee or a wobbly table; that is by far the most common cause of odd readings. Keep the platform clean and dry and never press on it to straighten something out. If readings drift over time, run the calibration routine with a suitable calibration weight.
