Cocaine Purity Test by Dope or Nope: reading colour depth
An identification test tells you which substance a powder probably holds. This kit goes a step further and gives an impression of how much cocaine sits in your sample. The pack contains an ampoule with reagent, an extra buffer and a colour chart that lines up the possible results. Running the test takes a couple of minutes and needs no equipment at all.
The method rests on colour depth. The reagent reacts with the cocaine in the sample and turns darker as more of that substance is present. If the colour stays pale or drifts towards brown, a larger share of the powder consists of cutting agents. Which agent that is remains unknown, because the chart is not built for that. Measure your sample carefully: the ratio between reagent and powder decides how useful the reading will be.
How to run the test
- Take the ampoule with the test reagent
- Break the ampoule and add the extra buffer
- Add your sample to the ampoule
- Turn the cap and put it back in place
- Compare the colour with the supplied chart
What the result does and does not tell you
The colour is an indication, not a measurement. The test says nothing about other substances that may be present and nothing about how safe a sample is. Dope or Nope neither condones nor condemns use, but recognises that banned substances are used regardless of their legal status. There is no safe use of drugs, and using the test is at your own risk.
Safety and storage
The ampoule contains a strong acid. Keep the test away from children and avoid contact with eyes and skin, since it causes irritation. Rinse with plenty of water after contact. Store the kit cool and dark, below 35 degrees, in its original packaging. At Avalon Magic Plants you will also find the Dope or Nope cocaine identification test, the MDMA purity test, the speed test and the LSD test. Every order is shipped discreetly.
