Dope or Nope THC test: a colour reaction as a first indication
This test from the Dope or Nope range covers a quick check for THC, the compound at the heart of hash, weed and hash oil. It works the way any reagent test works: a liquid inside an ampoule changes colour on contact with certain substances. You then match that colour, and the speed at which it appears, against the chart included in the packaging. This particular version also comes with a loose pellet that goes into the ampoule first.
The design stays small and plain on purpose: an ampoule, a pellet, a colour chart and a leaflet are all you get and all you need, with no equipment involved. That makes it easy to carry in a jacket pocket and to use wherever you happen to be. The result shows up within seconds.
What the result does and does not tell you
If you see a colour that appears on the card, the sample probably contains at least part of the substance listed beside it. That says nothing about purity: another substance the test does not recognise may be present, and the test does not reveal how much active material is there. If no reaction follows, or the colour differs from anything on the chart, none of the substances in the table has been shown and what you are holding remains unknown, which may be harmless or may not. Dope or Nope neither condones nor condemns drug use, but recognises that banned substances get used regardless of their legal status. There is no safe use of drugs. Using the test is at your own risk, it cannot offer full certainty about the identity of a substance, and no rights can be derived from it.
Storage and safety
The ampoule holds a strong acid. Keep the test away from children and avoid contact between the liquid and your eyes or skin, since that can cause irritation; rinse with plenty of water if it happens. Store the test cool and dark below 35 degrees Celsius in its original packaging. How to use the THC test

- 2. Break the ampoule
- 3. Place the pellet in the ampoule
- 4. Add your sample
- 5. Turn the cap and place it back on the ampoule
- 6. Compare the colour with the supplied table
